Hi,

I recently removed a rad to do some decorating. To remove the rad I simply closed the vales at each end and then drained the rad. When I re-installed the rad I opened each valve and let the rad fill with water with the vent screw removed. The rad filled OK but the water it filled with was hot. I didn't have the central heating on but boiler was heating the hot water.

Is this normal for the rad to fill with hot water or does it indicate a fault.

cheers for any advice
