One radiator in the house is not working. It has worked but now isn't at all, I initially thought it was the trv but have followed all the suggestions on these pages to check that and I don't think it is. The piston moves freely when I've taken the trv off and it also works on another radiator. I know nothin about plumbing so don't know what to try next. Neither pipes coming in to the radiator seem to be hot, but I don't know anything about different valves or which end should be hot etc. etc. any advice would be very welcome

Turn all the other radiators in the house off, then put the heating on, does it get hots now?

No, unfortunately not. I wondered if the supply had been turned off to that radiator inadvertently as neither feed pipes were hot?

Sounds like a blockage, whit type of system do you have, what size pipes going to the rad, and when was the system last serviced?

Thanks for the suggestions, plumber has just had to change one of the valves or something, it is now working!!
