Hi all,

I will shortly be redecorating a bedoom and am looking for some advise on what product to use on the ceiling. I was in Wickes today and couldn't find anything except regular emulsion.

The ceiling has dimpled artex. It has some minor cracks which I am expecting to be able to cover up with a suitable product.

I am looking for recommendations for a product that I can paint on to the ceiling and cover the cracks and hopefully 'reduce' the artex effect. I am sure that in the past I have seem products that claim to cover the artex effect. I know in reality (from experience) that this never happens, but anything that can reduce the artex effect would be a bonus.

I want to add that I'm not expecting miracles, I just want to try and do my best to freshen it up.

Any recommendations appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.
