Hello,

I have a late 1960's semi with gas central heating, a hot water storage tank, a cold water cistern in the loft but NO feed and expansion tank.

I want to drain the system and refill but as I have no feed and expansion tank I can't see where or how to refill. I can see no filling loop or anything else that looks like I could add water into.

What kind of refilling points should I be looking for?

Have a look on your cylinder to see if it has PRIMATIC written on it.

If so, it will be refiilled from your one storage cistern.

Cut supply to the cistern by tying up the ball valve and drain. :D
