Hi,
I am looking at getting the bay between the upstairs and downstairs bay re rerendered.
This was mentioned in the survey when we bought the property six years ago but we didn’t have the funds to do it at the time so we filled and painted it. However, we have a little bit of mould on the bay internally and there is the occasional musty smell. We do ventilate, heat etc and this is the only bit of the property that has any mould issue.
I’ve just had a quote to silicone render and external wall insulation of £1800 which seems a bit steep. We are based in Manchester.
Can anybody tell me if this is a fair price and the pros and cons of rerendering this.
I’ve attached a photo. Thanks.
