Hi
I would like to replace my temperamental Honeywell t6060 with a Honeywell single zone thermostat which has the bdr91 backplate.
I know i need the first wiring setup but not sure what wires.

Am i correct in saying (understanding the wrong colour is used for switched live)
that on the horizontal cable that connects to the t6060. The green yellow is the switched live (3) and should go to L and then a bridge L to A. The Blue (2) should go to N.

Hoping someone can help, i do not intend having the current ancient central heating system beyond summer but wanted to used the Honeywell Y87RF until then.
cheers

The wiring for your T6060 is thus:

T6060.JPG

Presently at the T6060
Brown wire in 1 = L
Blue wire in 2 = N
Green/yellow wire in 3 = Switched Live

At the BDR91
Brown wire in the left L terminal
Blue wire in the N terminal
Insert a link wire between the right L terminal and the A terminal
Green yellow wire in the B terminal

You are correct in that an earth wire has been used as a live wire, which is not good practice, as a minimum it should have a brown sleeve over it to identify it as a live.

Thank you very much stem, much appreciated.
I will try later and let you know how i get on.
Cheers
