I have refitted two radiators after decorating and none of the radiators now heat up even though the boiler fires up and there is heat either side of the circulating pump. Is this nsome sort of airlock and is there a DIY solution?

How did you disconnect the radiators? Did you drain the system, or close the rad valves and then remove them?

"Open the valves either side."

That will do little good without also bleeding the rads.

if the rads are bled:

-is it a sealed system? might be out of pressure.

-if open vented, has the feed and expansion tank got water in? is there an isolation valve on the feed? is the cold feed blocked?

I closed the rad valves We have a 2 part system in the house and neither sets of radiators are heating up

If you bleed the highest radiator in the house, does water squirt out forcefully, or does it start coming out, then slow to a trickle?
