retaining wall help!!

I recently moved into a property and the garden is a sham! The grass area at the top of the garden has a bank which I would very like to cut away and put a retaining wall in place, only problem being is that there is 2 walls at a 90 degree angle at the back of the bank....

How do I but the retaining wall onto these joining walls and also I don't think the walls sit down as far as I will be digging to put the wall in? Any ideas people?
