I have a Saniflo Saniplus Up (about 5 years old).
Now.... after a particularly big solid poo last weekend :LOL: it has been returning bits of 'solids' back into the pan.
The toilet flushes properly and (makes the usual sounds) and looks clean, but after a few hours I'm seeing bits in the bottom of the water.
I've tried giving it a good soak overnight with the descaler / bleach macerator fluid but still getting the issue.
I'm thinking it's the non-return valve? Can't remember how this comes out though - Does it just pull? Or unscrew? Trying to avoid the nightmare of taking the whole lid off for obvious reasons :LOL::LOL:

Move house ;)

There's no other way round it, you'll have to open it up, jet wash it out and check the discharge pipe.

May be a blockage at the outlet to the soil stack, waste!

How's it piped up?
What's the discharge route?

Photos?

A few buckets of hot water thrown down the pan should sort it out. The NRV is in the elbow which pulls out.
Cheers mate - I've run a few sinkfuls of warm water down but I'll go with the buckets at the weekend.
If that fails I'll try pulling out the NRV.

Just to be clear, the elbow/NRV pull out from the tank and the NRV is released from the elbow with a small twist to release the locating lugs

Cheers mate - so can I pull the elbow and NRV out together? Is it just a pushfit?.... then a small twist to detach the NRV from the elbow?

It should be held in place by a jubilee clip so a large flat blade screwdriverv or 7mm socket to undo it.

OP,
Just saying:
I know that expense & inconvenience can loom large when thinking about getting a Saniflow installed or replaced by a conventional WC but my early plumbing experiences attempting to repair Saniflows put me off ever again having anything to do with them.

If you are going to DIY a repair then make preparations eg plastic sheeting, cloths and gloves etc. & remove the 5amp fuse.
