I have had this boiler fitted for about 10 years with no problems up till now. I recently had it serviced and the plumber noticed a water leak coming from the Flow Temperature Sensor. He replaced this and ever since, the Boiler does not startup. The old one has been chucked out so we can't revert to this and check,. The Flow Temperature sensor came as a pack of two, so we have tried the other one but still the Boiler does not start up.
I have checked the fault finding diagram in the service manual and checked a few connections with the following results:
230V at live connection of the terminal block - present
230V at switched live connection of terminal block - present
230V on Grey Wire of block X5 on main pcb - reading 130V
In this case the option is to change either the Temp Sensor (which I have done with no effect) or the Main PCB. I am happy to change he PCB if indeed it does fix the problem as they are around £100. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar that I can check before hand.
By the Way I have already checked the Room Thermostat is turned up, there is No air in the CH system and gas is available.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
