Situation of CH header tank

At what height should it be relative to the main water tank in the loft. I was thinking if the HWTank got a leak in the coil and the CH header was below (like placed on the same joist level) the main water tank then water would flow into the CH header and spill (probably faster than the overflow could handle it). Am I right? Should I raise the CH header and at what level?

It doesn't matter. Could be useful seeing water flow from the (cistern) overflow for troubleshooting purposes.
