I have a very small weep where the pipe (microbore) goes into the valve on a downstairs radiator. It has never been 100% as it enters at a slight angle and I have had to nip the nut up every now and then to stop it. However, I have now run out of "nip". I can see only two options, use a leak stopper in the system or remake the joint. My questions are:
Do the leak treatments work? If I go for a repair, is there a way to minimise the amount of water that will come out when I pull the pipe, i.e. shutting off all other rads etc? It is a combi system.
