See this article about soldiers being turned away fro a pub because they had their uniform on ...but the owner has apoligised and said he did not know it was a funeral..........ffs , it does not matter if its a funeral or not but these guys/gals in my opinion should be respected for the job they are doing overseas.
There is now a facebook petition with over 50k folk saying it should be boycotted and I really hope the locals do and business suffers, this should also apply to any other pub that does this to our soldiers..IMHO

Whilst it makes good headlines, having lived in Aldershot in the past a 'squaddie ban' sometimes makes good sense!

Im sure thats some truth in that, but there is a diffrence between a large group of lads uniformed or otherwise pouring in for **** up late one evening, and a a couple of uniformed blokes coming in for a drink mid-day and if you cant tell the difference your going to struggle to run a bar anyway!
