Spotlights?

I am installing spotlights and have never done this before. I know how to wire lights using the loop-in system but this seems different. From each light there is your 2 wires which i assume are your live/neutral which go to 2 small connector blocks. How are these lights wired including the switches and what is done with the earth as there doesn't seem to be anywhere for the earth to go?

It sounds like you have got the wrong units or incomplete. Would I be correct guessing that you do not have any hoods, or other provisions that ensure that fire proofing and sound insulation remain intact?
