does anyone have a clue what the problem is with my 95 pug DT based on the descriptio below... any help is much appreciated?

A stiff clutch I can handle, as this is apparently common place, but the biting point on the clutch is literally in the floor. Has the cable slipped or totally worn?

Any ideas on rough costs?

Can try adjusting the cable up.......... i'm pretty sure on the older pugs the adjustment is where the cable attaches to the clutch arm. If it's stiff too, you'll probably find the arm is siezing, and probably pulled the cable through the plastic adjuster

Failing that it may be time for a new clutch.

awesome cheers neo, i think i will ask the garage to adjust it for me on its MOT tomorrow, how much do you reckon a new clutch would be? (parts & labour)...

cheers,

You're looking at around £70 for the clutch kit and probably £100-£150 to fit it.
