Children from St Chad’s C of E Infant School, in Normanton, Derby have organised petitions, staged a series of peaceful protests and even met with local MP, Baggy Shanker (a real name, i promise you  ) As part of the initiative pupils have named four trees situated just outside the school gates Derek, Sylvia, Violet and Jackson to highlight their importance to the school and the wider neighbourhood.

Anybody taking time to adorn their treee with a name has my full endorsement. (y)

But will it make any diff.?

This article in Derby News, August 2015, suggests it won't make a jot of diff., as they didn't want to spend a measly 20k to clean up the problem then, how much more will they need to keep spending in order to do something about these bloody Gumby's gambolling around the countryside they proclaim to protect with their ridiculous flag campaigns and monotonous whining about migrants. Fukkum!

Death's too good for 'em, sez I.

Derby City Council enforcement teams issue hundreds of Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) annually for waste crimes. For instance, across a few recent years, the council issued over 100 FPNs per year, sending an average of 15-20 cases to court for non-payment; such as this guy in Alvaston who received substantial fines after he pleaded guilty at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court to three offences of fly tipping at rural locations in South Derbyshire in spring 2020.

These incidents across England have risen by 9% in just a year and in Derbyshire have risen by more than 90 per cent in less than a decade. If you find anyone doing this in your local area then you should treat 'em like the forum spammers and shop 'em til you drop 'em.
