Thinking of a suspended timber floor in the new extension, What is the minimum distance needed to allow air to circulate beneath the suspended floor insulation.

Min. 150mm below the underside of the joists.
Underside of insulation would presumably be higher than the underside of the joists?

Ah that's not good Tony, I have in total 150mm. Out of that there would be 100mm for the joists with 100mm insulation between joists.

So really only about 50mm air gap. Wonder if I could get away with 50mm, if I have a few more airbricks'.

Thanks
