Hi there I have a 3-gang switch which has 7 1.5 cables coming to it,
3 appliances, a set of 3 core wires going downstairs as a 3 switch
operation, an incoming live, and then 2 outgoing onto the loop somewhere.

Now this is a very messy socket and the pressure behind the front plate
with all the earths etc is so much its damaging the plasterboard.

Is there any ways to tidy this up and make it tidyer and better inside
the back box?

Chris

Is it a light switch or a grid switch?

What appliances does it control?

a light switch.

it controls.. hallway light (2 way switch), bathroom light, and bathroom extracter fan.

You could put in a gridswitch with a deeper box. maybe a deeper box on its own would do the trick.
