Hello all,

I have 4 joist ends that need cutting due to rot, these are on a ground floor suspended timber floor and there is room for me to work. The house is over 100 years old and the joists seem to be originals. I could use the good bits of the old joists to sister reducing my cost.Would you sister or replace whole joist? It's doing my head in, cost of 1 joist 50mm x 125mm C24 grade is around 11quid, i am so indecisive, please give me some advice.

Hehehe, very funny. It has nothing to do with the money. So no sistering joists then?

thanks for the quick response
