Generally, UVCs are installed with the PRV set to 3.0bar and the EV precharge pressure set slightly lower at 2.8bar.
I have read of some of these operating "noisly" when drawing off HW or the EV refilling if the dynamic pressure is only 1.5bar/2bar ish, some have got the EV precharge pressure reduced to this dynamic pressure which has helped but not stopped the noisy operation.
Query is, Generally, should the PRV pressure setting be set to the dynamic pressure as well as the EV setting of dynamic pressure minus 0.2bar and if so can a "3.0bar" PRV be adjusted/reduced to say 1.5/2.0bar, if required, or must a new PRV be installed?.
