I have a Vokera Maxin 24E combi boiler which requires a full service (it's misbehaving). Can anyone recommend a reliable service engineer who could undertake this work? I am in East london. Any suggestions wouold be much appreciated.

If the boiler is not working properly then it needs a "repair" and not a routine service!

Repairs are charged at more than services and done as a priority the same or next day.

We usually only do services 5-6 days after we are called to ensure that its not really a repair!

Agile is quite right, the number of customers who book a service and dont mention any problem is unbelievable. A service is primarily to ensure the continuing SAFE operation of an appliance. Obviously any defects should be picked up and repaired, but if I turn up to an obviously inoperable/damaged installation, the customer will be informed that a repair will cost more than a service. First thing you're taught... Before doing anything check its working! (and dont just take someones word for it.)

second thing youre taught is do a tightness test before you start.

Nobody told British Gas.

But third thing they should have told you but didn't is if it failstightness test try a new guage tube before ripping up florboards. you learn that atthe school of hard knocks.
