My vokera linea 28 combi boiler keeps ejecting water through the over flow pipe attached to the pressure release valve, this valve is brand new and over the years has been changed 4 times. Is there any other reason how water can get binto the prv pipe. The boiler has had a new heat exchanger recently, the expansion vessel has correct pressure 7 the bioler works properly.

Has an engineer ever been called to diagnose the fault?

Blindly changing parts does not effect a cure unless the underlying problem has been diagnosed!

check the communication hose between the expansion vessel and the hydro-block if this blocks it has the same effect as having a depleted expansion vessel. if the pressure guage starts to rise when you switch the heating on from cold then this sound s the likely culprit

Most likely there isn't air in the expansion vessel or very little
you can only check the correct charge by draining the boiler.

tHANKS FOR SUGESTION. THE EXPANSION VESSEL HAS 12 bar.PRESSURE WHICH IS CORRECT, CHECKED BY RELEASING BOILER PRESSURE AND CHECKING VESSAL WITH A GAUGE.

Most will explode with 12 Bar pressure!

I suggest you open all the windows and get out of the house!

Your user name is the hydraulicman and you think an expansion vessel could withstand 12 Bar ?????????

Does the boiler pressure guage still rise when CH is switched on from cold ?

Yes pressure rises from 0.5 to about 3

It is the communication hose that has blocked look at the bottom of the EV and you will see a braided hose that connects the EV to the Hydroblock, release the system water pressure and release the air pressure from inside the EV then remove the hose and clear it I usually use a roll of solder but a long screwdriver does the same just be carefull not to burst the hose and flush through at a tap (outside one preferred as can be messy) dont attempt to remove the hose with pressure still inside the EV, with the hose off check both holes where it connects are clear, once cleared refit re-pressurise EV repressurise system the test it
