Hello! Can anyone help me....?! I am looking to install a wet shower room upstairs in my house. I am wondering if this can be done DIY style with a kit of some kind or if it's best to get a professional in to ensure it doesn't leak. Also, if a professional is best, are there wet room specialists or will normal plumbers be able to the job?
Thanks!

I have recently installed an AquaDec / TileSafe wetroom using a kit from impey. See http://www.impey-uk.com/aqua_dec/index.php

Its more of a building job rather than plumbing, but a good diy'er should be able to manage this. The most difficult bit was making sure that the floor is absolutely level to ensure that the water falls into the waste !

Whistler - any idea if you can use underfloor heating on top of the aquadec / tile safe membrane (ie overlap from the plywood floor onto the aquadec).

cheers

I went with the AquaDec / TileSafe wetroom as Whistler advised - they have a good video on their website to show you what it entails... more building and prep than anything else.

I am really happy with the results and no leaks!

If you go the professional route, make sure that they really know what they are doing and ask if you could see some of their previous work :)
