I need to put in another inside door. The current latch is a Union one, and it's 80mm long. The actual latch spindle is 60mm backset. Handles are levers, not round knobs.
The door needs a spindle backset at 45mm. I think I therefore I need a latch about 65mm long.
Latch plate is 23mm x 57mm, I suppose a regular size.
I'm looking at part PM888ZP25 on Amazon.
Not sure what this means: " but they are not suitable for unsprung lever handles.". Rich
EDIT1: Oh, I just got it, my lever handles are sprung, but you can get unsprung ones. So, I'm okay with the type of latch I mentioned.
I'm just assuming for 64mm latches backset is about 45mm.
