Making the tall boxing for bathroom plumbing, so need to ensure noggins in there to hold the cistern in place. Also, freestanding vanity unit says to screw into wall.

can see heights of bolt holes on any toilets - is there a standard position? I guess near the top, about 60-80cm from the floor. Maybe one big bit of ply will be OK to cover the area? Any tips?

You putting a close coupled loo in? If so then drywall fixings, penny washers and big rubber washers are your friend (25mm blind grommets work well). The cistern is fairly rigidly fixed to and supported by the loo, screws/rubber washers at the cistern allow a bit of movement when someone heavy sits on the loo (obv doesn't apply on concrete floors) and prevent the cistern pitching forward

¾" tap washers work well too.
