What to use to seal around electricity meter outside

Hi all i am not sure what to get to seal around my electricity and gas meters, it had a red shade of something what is totally past its best its mainly missing , was just going to get a weatherproof sealant but loads of reviews from a well know building site had bad reviews on the weather proof sealants so anyone know anything good (needs to seal from plastic box onto wall to stop water etc)

silicone sealant should do the job

if its red it was probably polysulphide mastic. As said Any decent silicone should do the job
