What's coming through my plaster?

Hi all,
I've attached a couple of pictures.
Could someone tell me what is coming through my plaster around a window?
It also appears in the corner (same wall) below the coving.
It's dry.
It's on the upper floor.

It's mould and fungal growth, caused by either a leak or poor ventilation resulting in high levels of condensation.

In the first instance seek out and provide a cure to your problem, then remove the mould growth with warm water and a clean kitchen scourer. Wipe down and allow to dry and apply an anti fungicidal wash, this will ensure that the spores are killed off. It would not hurt then to apply an Alkali resisting primer prior to further decoration.
