I downloaded Fritzing software from Filehorse ( which is reported as safe) , clicked the downloaded file as normal and the b**** thing installed itself with all its baggage into the download folder.

Should I remove/uninstall it and put the download folder into one of Program or Program (86) folders?
Will Win10 then find it or do I have to add the subfolder to a path somewhere?

Ta.

In general, apps don't like having their path changed after installation. I'd suggest first you uninstall the app, then reinstall it and check whether there are advantaged options where you can choose the installation path.

If there isn't an option to choose a path, it's likely the installer is just unzipping files, in which case it's safe to move.

If you press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager while the app is running, it will tell you whether it's a 32 bit or 64 bit program, so you'll know to move it to Program Files or Program Files (x86).

Advantaged options? Never heard of those, but no there were no options!

Penny had never dropped that (86) meant 32 bit, ta for that. Or maybe I knew and forgot, I don't remember:unsure:

I'll delete it all if there's no uninstall, then.
