Nah, involved somewhat, years and years ago, not now ... Just TV grandstand - mainly MotoGP nowadays...
We had the old Stockers at 'Mendip Raceway' ..... Back in the mists of time. In the 'banger' racing local lads in their under floor girdered Austin Westminster used to batter everything to more than their constituent parts week on week until they were caught out... By an artic tractor unit!

I was under the impression, not checked my sources, that Brands Hatch does not meet FIA requirements. I believe Silverstone only just scrapes by.

Brands was granted an FIA Grade 2 licence Sept. '05 extending compliance from the Brands Hatch Indy circuit to the full-length GP circuit ... Hence A1GP events... Sadly not Grade 1 .... Certainly great value for the spectator tho' .... I know the club bike racers love(d) BH back in the mists...

2 Single seater racing cars of Groups D (FIA International
Formula) and E (Free formula) with corrected cylinder
capacities over 2500 cm³, excepting Formula 1

2500 cm³
FIA GT Championship
Historic cars of Groups F1/4 (TGP and F1 of periods G, H, I),

Gradings continue down to 6 for different categories.

Old JohnP is going for it at Snetterton too ! Looking for planning permission... major upgrading, leading to FIA Grade 2
