Hi to all I need some help. I got called to have a look at my daughters boiler because its losing pressure.I have checked the expansion vessel and there are no leaks.checked pipe work and no leaks. But it still losing pressure. Any help would be appreciated. The boiler is a worcester ri.

If it's definitely not releasing water out of the pressure relief valve, you could have a failed main heat exchanger.

No, it'll be draining out of the condensate. Provided the boiler has been serviced annually and is under 10 years old, Worcester will replace it free of charge

Hi Andrew When i did my checks i checked the condensate pipe and there was nothing coming out. The only thing i have not checked is pipe work under the floor.

What "checks" did you perform?
If you can get to the discharge pipe (outside) secure a plastic bag around it and see if it fills with water over time. Have you witnessed the pressure loss? Is it when system hot or cold? If you do get water from discharge the EV needs proper checking that air side pressure is as it should be when water side is open to atmosphere/not pressurised.

Hi Andrew i have checked all exposed pipe work in the house valves for leaks looked around the boiler no leaks checked the the plastic pipe outside again no water. i pressureised the expansion vessel to 1 1/4 bar, and bled all air fro the system ran for about 1/2 hour, and watched the pressure drop it was quite visable loss of pressure

checked the the plastic pipe outside again no water

Discharge pipe should be copper not plastic and it should turn back to face the wall. Unless RI has combined condense and discharge? Then it should be plumbed into waste.

Edit: regular boiler with separate EV on a sealed system? There should be a discharge pipe going to outside from the expansion vessel... Check that for letting by.
