Wood Burning stove lights

Hi

I recently installed a multi fuel stove but my electrical said that he would not recommend installing lights in the opening.

I see a lot more with lights installed or has anyone put lights in that can be removed when lighting or can led strips be any use?

I understand heat may be an issue.
