Been losing pressure in the system and suspect the PRV do they just fail? or get corroded?. Have topped up in the past and hot water ok. Now the taps wont kick in the heater when they are opened it's only lukewarm (by association with the central heating?? it is hotter when the heating is on)

Is it the diaphragm / diverter valve? The piston comes out and engages the micro switch but still no firing up...any ideas?

Thanks...from a new member who knows the answer is out there somewhere but hasn't learnt how to search the forums properly!

Could be the microswitch then if your'e sure the pin is travelling full distance. Try taking the microswitch off and gently pressing a small screwdriver in to activate and see if boiler fires up. If it does then sounds like diaphragm, if not microswitch ;)
