Hello all. I completed a re-wire a few weeks back in an empty house but was unable to carry out the live testing as the supply was disconnected. So I left my tails hanging out of the fuseboard waiting for some juice. The service head was in the basement and the meter (fed by a piro originally) was at the top of the basement stairs - approx 7m away. My customer had contacted N Power to come round and fire it up, so they came round and installed a new meter and an isolator right next to the service head (about 6" of cable!) instead of the orogonal position, which now leaves me to run 7m of tails up the stairs. even though I replaced the CCU in the same position. Sods. Anyhoo, I now have to choose. Do I run an armoured up the stairs (the run is loaded with concrete pillars and obstacles) or do I run 25mm dbl insulated tails in trunking? I have never used a switch fuse before and wonder whether this would be appropriate here? Can someone show me what they look like? Any advise would be gratefully received.
