If you are an EU citizen, then you are the importer of the equipment and so responsible for its certification. If the battery bursts into flames on the aircraft and they can trace it back to you, then who do you think they will prosecute? So, yes the likelihood of you getting into trouble are very small indeed, but that doesn't change the status of your phone

how about a deal that limited Freedom Of Movement for EU citizens to those moving for work, giving them three months after which, if they could not show they were self-supporting, they could be sent back?

I for one do care how many people enter the country,never leave ,never work etc and we have no idea of the numbers.Hence,part of the reason for Brexit...Oh yes...lets go and re negotiate with the EU...we have been arguing the toss with EU since day 1...stupid is doing the same thing endlessly and expecting a different result
