Any company that gives jobs to hundreds of thousands of people and helps millions of small business to run can’t be that bad
what you read on the internet and see in the news is like most other story’s exaggerated to get people to listen. I know people who have been previously employed in the Amazon warehouses with no moans other than the distance they have to walk while working.
everyone is entitled to there opinion and I get you might not like Amazon but for the reasons I have mentioned I would think twice before discrediting them everywhere. Literally millions of people rely on them to provide for their families.

You are telling people not to buy Amazon gift cards because you think all the money goes to Amazon. I was merely pointing out they support a hell of a lot of small businesses.
The other way around, a lot of small businesses support Amazon. I don't like Amazon at all, they are far too big, far to all encompassing for my liking. SWMBO subscribes to Prime for streaming and gets quite a lot of stuff from Amazon, her choice, I am more prepared to wait and buy much cheaper from Ebay - in the process I hopefully better support the smaller companies.
Amazon are trying too hard, to get their fingers in too many pies and are turning into a massive monopoly. Monopolies are never a good thing for the customer.

You can say exactly the same for eBay the small businesses support them.
People are forever saying support small businesses don’t go to large companies I do get that but what a lot of people forget is these big companies pay a wage to millions. Like supermarkets another great example.
If Amazon spot an item selling well from a company, they muscle straight in and begin selling it themselves. Not only that, but then they add their own items to the top of their website search, so they are listed first.
So far as I am aware, Ebay doesn't sell anything other than offering an auction/sale site. Unlike Amazon, it doesn't own and operate the delivery service.

Proof to back that up please? I know a lot of Amazon sellers and I have sold there myself never seen anything like that.
The proof was on TV two or three days ago, which highlighted how Amazon operates. Once it is pointed out to you and doing a search for things on Amazon, it becomes fairly obvious Amazon are favouring listing their own items above there sellers.
If anyone wants to boycott a "big" company, turn your sights on the likes of Uber, Just Eat, Deliveroo and the like.

I think Amazon is great! Prime membership gives me prime tv and reading, stuff gets delivered the same day sometimes and complaints are sorted out immediately without fuss. On the other hand, a friend of ours has a son that works for them, reasonably high up in the management chain. She says he suffers with stress from the job. Then again, he is paid a heck of a lot more than those picking and delivering the goods so I suppose that’s why?

Some people are willing to overlook the way they run their business and look after their staff, others expect more from such a big business and will be more choosy who they buy from.
