If the jabs are so successful...

So, an unproven and unprovable assertion that a vaccine/vaccines/cocktail of vaccines/vaccine boosters might give protection to Covid?

Funny how the jabbed ones continue to spread the 'virus'...

It appears that they do give 'protection' to the 'virus'

You mean like a 'booster' report?

After all the jabbed ones need their regular fix!

vaccines protects against severe illness and they reduce transmission rates.

what’s not to like?

The worry that I have with the current strategy is the sheer numbers of cases. A new and potentially more deadly variant is probably imminent with such a carefree attitude to rising case numbers.
Certainly the vaccine prevents serious illness and deaths, but it has little effect, and maybe even a malignant influence, on the development of new variants.

It is very unlikely that a new varient will be more deadly, it's even less likely that a new varient would have a meaningful form of vaccine escape.

We're told it's something like antibiotic resistance. The bugs compete with each other as well as your body. So if you kill the ones you know about, the new ones thrive.
All the vaccines work only against the spike (certainly the Pf and AstraZ ones), whereas naturally acquired antibodies can interfere with some of the other unwanted virus symptoms as well.
So if you vaccinate everyone with the same vaccines, the variants (all of them )which have success getting past the spike antibodies are free to do their worst.
If your triple vaccinated state means you stop anything with a spike, you're ok. But taking out 90% three times still leaves you with 0.1%. If you get enough exposures to it, you, and eventually all the population, is infected.
SO you have to reduce the number of exposures until it dies out. If y'all carry on as though it doesn't matter, y'all get it. If it's infectious enough, y'all get it at the same time, or some proportion of the population always has it and it never dies out, until hopefully natural immunity, or a different vaccine, etc, comes along.

That's what I think they mean.
So if the numbers get up, do the distancing, & wear the mask, I'd have thought.

What do you mean by other unwanted symptoms? That when you're vaccinated but get infected you might lose your sense of smell but if you survived the first round and caught it again then there's less chance of losing your sense of smell?
That'd be a nightmare to detect. Even the Zoe survey wouldn't be able to pull that sort of data out and it's fantastic.

Thankfully we have dozens of vaccines now, so it's all fine. And the mRNA ones can be redesigned in a month so we'd be able to spin up a new version quickly.

Covid isn't going to be eliminated, we have done it with a few viruses but Covid is too subtle and too infectious.

Other unwanted virus proteins, then, if you like. There's nothing in eg the Pfizer vaccine to act against your anosmia, but there may be in a naturally acquired immune set.

Ah, good you know about all the dozen of vaccines in use?
Tell me which vaccines do other than protect against the spike?

How do you know covid is too subtle and what does that mean?
Keenly waiting to be edumificated, here........

Too infectious? DO tell us how that would make it impossible to eliminate when measles is FAR more infectious?
All ears here..........?

can you elaborate on these unwanted proteins? This is the first I've heard mention of them.

Try not to be a dick, I know a little about some of the vaccines. Including enough to know there are live attenuated and inactivated ones in development and a few have been approved in some parts of the told.

Sinovac and SinoPharm both use Inactivated virus.

It isn't easily identifiable, unlike Measles, Polio or Smallpox. You can be infectious even without symptoms. That makes it hard to find and track, which makes elimination very hard.

You do know we haven't eliminated Measles, right?

Measles is a great example of why we won't eliminate Covid. A single infection of Measles makes you nearly completely immune for life. Covid vaccines and infections don't give that long lasting protection. All it takes is one pocket of it circulating somewhere in the world and it can flow back again.

Some countries have managed to eliminate Covid, but it takes huge effort and only works if you have incredibly strong border controls and ongoing surveillance. As long as one country can't be bothered to do all of that, Covid can't be eliminated.

some posts have been removed.
You have a recent history of posting absolute rubbish.
Some of it was flat lies, the rest obvious, irrelevant of no consequence.
And you've done it to often for it to be stupidity.

We can't see you walk or hear you quack but you're writing like a troll, and writing like a troll, and writing like a troll.

To back up your claim. You made it, are we just supposed to guess what you are on about?
"Iceland is joining its Nordic peers in halting inoculations with Moderna Inc.’s Spikevax shot on concern over side effects.

The Moderna jab, which has mostly been used in Iceland for second doses, won’t be used until more information over its safety has been collected, the chief epidemiologist said on Friday.

Sweden, Denmark and Finland have this week suspended the jabs for younger people because of the risk of heart inflammation as a potential side effect. Norway said men under 30 should consider choosing the Pfizer Inc.’s and BioNTech SE’s rival vaccine, and the other Nordic nations also recommended that as an alternative. Both vaccinations use messenger RNA technology to prompt an immune reaction."

Yawn. Iceland this, Iceland that. It's a wonder you haven't considered moving there. ;):sneaky:

It's supposed to be one of the most female friendly places but I remember a woman I know who's sister took up with an Icelander she met on holiday in Ibiza and went out to live with him. The woman I know, along with her brother, had to help her to get home. The bloke knocked the **** out of her. Apparently they are well known for it.

Not a nice place at all for some women if what you read in the EU observer and others are true.

Nothing to add as usual...

But hey, you carry on swallowing anything you are told to believe...

You are indeed a bit of a prat!
