No I say trans is associated with mental illness - your link agrees. Only transactivists dispute this. It was only recently that the WHO, stopped classifying trans as a mental illness. They did this to appease the Trans lobby, they do not say they made a mistake and got it wrong. Trans people often have mental illness.

Many trans people, particularly those who surgically change at a young age, experience regret. De-transitioning, is real and those who come out publicly are often attacked by the trans community.

Young people need to be protected from the trans lobby to avoid them making life wrecking decisions that are hard to reverse. Many young people go through doubt about what they are, what sexual orientation they have etc. Then for most they grow up and realise these were probably just odd chemical reactions in their brains due to puberty. Becoming gay or straight is not irreversible. Surgically modifying yourself and taking drugs to damage your bodies natural progression can be.

People who want to change themselves permanently need careful assessment and help, to ensure these desires are not linked to mental illness which is extremely common in trans people.

We're talking about women using the women's toilets, not men.
If you refuse to acknowledge trans women as women, you are firmly in the Gender Essentislaist argument. You are denying the existence of transgender people. Or is it just transwomen that is the target of your prejudice?

(Un) funnily enough, I am on my way to a meeting, part of the agenda will be a discussion on industry changes, implemented on the back of a hatchet job "consultation".

As part of the "consultation", Gov. have stated that "opinions of selected participants are taken as evidence".

What it means is that some transgender people may experience dysphoria (it's necessary to obtain a GRC)
That dysphoria may give rise to health problems.
Transgender does not cause mental illness, nor is transgender associated with mental illness.

It's about cause and effect. transgender may cause dysphoria, which may cause mental illness, i.e. depression, etc.
In your version, mental illness cause transgender. That is totally wrong, and offensive.
