Ukraine counter offensive

I think that if the west doesn't come up with some hefty help over the next few months then zelensky will, probably be ousted and that would be a disaster for Ukraine and the west. I also think that if trump gets into the white house that would also be a disaster for ukraine and the west.

If trump gets in there could well be a serious confrontation with the mad mullers

Rumour had it that in the last few months of his presidency some in the states were looking at ways of with holding the launch codes from him ??

Poo tin has delivered or concluded the delivery of tactical nukes to his lackey in Belarus ??

Klitschko is outspokenly unhappy about the way Zelensky is conducting the defence of Ukraine but i'm sure nobody could do a better job - esspecially an ex-boxer. Although i wouldn't say that to his face.:giggle:

tell me Vinty, why are you so sympathetic towards Putin?
Why are you so sympathetic to Netanyahu.
Russia invades Ukraine.
Ukrainians resist Putins invasion.
You support Ukraine.

Israel invades Palestine .
Palestinians resist Netanyahu invasion.
You support Israel.
Any reason for that?

Was this on Oct 7th, you might need to refer to your
Israel has been occupying Palestine long before Oct 7th.
As an occupying force , Israel can't claim the right to self defence, anymore than Hitler could when he invaded Poland.
Pre Zionist Palestine was a small impoverished country.
As far as I know, it was never considered a threat to its neighbours or the rest of the world.
As far as I know it the mass illegal immigration that tipped the region into chaos.
The UN in its wisdom did a 'Neville Chamberlain ' and offered the representatives of the terrorists who were holding the region hostage , a large chunk of the indigenous peoples land in return for a peace agreement.
The rest is history, as they say.
You probably won't agree with my analysis, which is ok.

I grew up in a community where everyone believed that the Jews are the chosen people and the Palestinians are modern day Philistines.
The other day, our local butcher called Terence,a normally cheerful old chap who has won awards for his sausages, put his hand on my wife's arm and said , Lebanon has attacked Israel, we are in the end times, pray for Israel, he then walked away looking quite worried.
I was relieved when he walked off, I didn't want to get into a debate about Israel with him as my wife and i really like his sausages and I know he would probably ban me from his shop.
Terence is typical of the local community, brainwashed from birth and brought up on diet of Sunday school and Hollywood movies like the Greatest story ever told, Exodus and Schindlers list.

Ukraine has had it, unfortunately.
Reading that all of Germany's spare Leopard tanks, which they sent, have been destroyed; will Ukraine get any more? No.

Among the more startling pieces in a collection compiled by the Atlantic magazine under the heading “If Trump wins”, was one by the analyst Anne Applebaum. Her stark prediction: “Trump will abandon Nato.” She makes the persuasive case that even if he does not formally withdraw from the alliance, Trump can render it defunct simply by shaking confidence in its central commitment: that each member come to the defence of any other if attacked. Once the likes of Vladimir Putin conclude that Trump no longer believes in that creed of collective defence, the game will be up.

The immediate casualty of such a shift will be Ukraine. Kyiv has relied on US arms and aid since Russia’s invasion nearly two years ago, an act of aggression whose initial stages were praised by Trump as “genius”. A re-elected Joe Biden would keep that support for Ukraine coming. Under Trump, it would dry up.

Orysia Lutsevych of Chatham House told me that, in that scenario, Kyiv would have to pursue a “totally different war strategy, lowering its ambition from retaking territory seized by Russia to denying Russia the opportunity to take more”. One former high-ranking figure in the US military reckons that “the best we can hope for is that Europe pressures [Volodymyr] Zelenskiy into accepting some form of armistice with Russia that concedes Donbas and Crimea”, along with international security guarantees. He offers that verdict with no enthusiasm: “This is exactly the outcome Putin desires.”

It’s worth spelling out what that means: a Moscow no longer deterred by the threat of Nato...

Jonathan Freedland@theGrunadia

When i hear that line repeated again and again i wonder if it's as true as folk make out - NATO is still a defensive organisation, designed for countries to unite in common cause should Russia be dumb enough to attack Poland or one of the Baltic countries. And, let's face it, the chances of that are slim and the odds of success next to nothing. We've all seen how Russian forces have struggled for nearly two years - they can barely phone home without Ukrainian Intelligence intercepting the call, their tactics are obsolete and costing many thousands more lives than should be necessary to achieve their military objectives. Outdated equipment and prop-driven bombers signal their inability to conduct offensive operations beyond their own backyard. The Black Sea fleet is no more than a glorified coastguard now. What are we worried about?

If that happens, Trump would go down in history as the greatest damage to world peace since WW2

Trump supporters are gun toting red necks fiercely believe in their right to freedom…..are now effectively supporting Putin, a brutal dictator who stop people having freedom.

those MAGA hats fry their brains

The hats are necessary for receiving transmissions from their Lizard Overlords.
Have you seen the posts by Aston Hill.

it’s scary how bad some people have got it

Nazis, Zionists, Trumpists, Russian leaders, mothers with pushchairs - all have a lot in common, it seems to me.
