hello id lik some of your thoughts. been reading hse reports for past ten years and seems roomsealed boilers are involved on average in one death per year( out of 25 million homes ,probably only about 5mill of those are checked every year)how often are you seeing leakages? ar or id roomsealed...

hi. ive been asked to do agas check. boiler is in loft. combi. does it need fire protection? boxed in? or something. im asking because the lady bought the flat 2 years and was told it needs fire protection?? ive never heard of this. i assume if it requires but doesmnt have then its ncs...

on the vindictive note. yes that is bad. not only leaving a gas leak but setting up an employee. i wonder how many times he hasnt bothered with tighness test when seeing the meter is next to the boiler ( only gas appliance) but test nipple not accessible or blocked by piles of heavy crap.and...

off the subject. yes it was the corgi guy when i had my yearly visit last year. confirmed it with council gas contracting firm. it is not a legal requirement of cp12. the section is there to encourage you do the test . his quote!!!i kid you not.

yes i am.im asking because the corgi guy said tightness test is not a legal requirement. the co test im confused as i always thought manufactuers ask for co test on condensing whenever test. however look at ideals . no co test points!!!

no offence but sounds like few sore blokes here!!! i easily take home 45 k year without measly callout (8-430pm) actually and do 4 prtivate jobs on a sat morning through my own advertising(callout is, as you know merely jobs which have not been completed during the course of the day and...

get paid 400 pounds for weeks callout. qas i said my concern is not payment it is is this legal given e.u working time directive opt out ( which is soon to be scrapped)

hi guys. i was at a job with one of the guys fromm our firm doing service. ecotc 824. i noticed the trap wasnt hughely full so i poured some water down the flue to fill it ( prevent possible flue gases from escaping). anyway this chap said hed never seen that done before ( 5 years experience)...

on a open vent'heat only boiler if the boiler flow temp is considerably higher then the return and boiler overheats then this can only be dry system, pump knackered,airlocks?? what would be the symthoms of airlocks in central heat system ? overheating preceded by loud noises in pipework?ta

thanks. i guess measuring the temp diff of flow into the plate and return out is confirmation of blockage/scale. should be 10 percent differential?

could anyone tell me what would be the result of scaled plate exchanger? poor dhw flow, poor h/w temp as there would be karge temp differntial on flow and return? anything else? wouldnt the boiler overheat if the plate was scaled up?thank you

on permamnet pilot boiler ie puma 80p, if the pilot was staying lit but main burner was not lighting you could rule out defective thermocouple as a cause since the pilot is staying lit thus the thermocouple must ne ok. am i right? i know its basic but just past my acs after years in army...
