they have a release handle under the rear seat for the roof if it has got stuck, if it has been pulled it releases the motor off the mechanism which is in the passengers side in the boot, remove the panel to reveal the mech then clip the motor back into place hopefully that should be the problem.

it sounds like the switch in the key take it apart check to see if the lock botton clicks when you press it, have replaced loads of these switches they tend to collapse, a good car audio shop should be able to replace it for you.
it sounds like the key could be the micro switch collapased check switch clicks when you press them had a few of these break on me we end up soldering new switch in.
if you can get the forks in the radio and it wont pull forward theres a black plastic bung at the back of the radio you can get your hand up the back of the console and unscrew it it is very tight once thats out you can pull the radio forward.
