Thanks. Yea in hindsight I should have used something to get between wall and the desk but could not imagine they would have stuck the desk frame to the wall as well as screwing it into the wall and skirting boards! What a disaster. Sounds like a simple plaster job then.

No its not floating. there is no water in the cistern. i can lift the white plastic arm up and down freely but nothing happens!

Hi, I've also measured up my glass as 26mm. I.e. the PVC unit being 62mm and the space between the plastic and glass on each side being 18mm on both sides. Is it likely that the PVC unit is actually 60mm, meaning the glass unit is 24mm? Should I go for 24mm, and what happens if this is...

the pipe fits on the boss fine, but the boss doesnt fit into the soil pipe opening!

Haha good point. I'm assuming the hole is the same size as the blocked off ones on the other sides. It won't fit in them and look the same.

hi terry - the boiler outlet is close by but its not connected - yes its hanging lose as i pulled it apart to evaluate it - and the seal has failed. hopefully i new boss will sort it!
