    I agree that the seal would potentially not be as good and ideally, that is the way i wanted to do it, but with this end panel its making me think twice. It is a shower bath in the p shape and the panel is definately the complete length unfortunately... any advice welcomed.

    hi richard, just to throw a spanner in the works, what are your opinions on pressurised hot water systems? a friend of mine has just suggested, as an option instead of a noisy pump, to put a mains fed pressurised vessel in the system to give my hot water a mains header pressure.
