Hello, I''ve had a quick search for tha answer on this but nothing came up. Installing the above...22mm to a first floor extension. Got plenty of chipboard screws 5 x 50mm.....do I also need to glue the joints? If so, is this to prevent future 'squeaking' ? Many thanks Lee

I'm pretty sure they used waterbased for the flat and contact adhesive for the upstand. Luckily, I don't think it was a freezing night so hoping all is ok. There is a small 'bubble' around five inches long on the upstand, just below the trim, so I assume the adhesive was missed here...

Thanks everyone for the replies. Nope, I don't have the funds for a new boiler. I don't want to sound like a sob story, but iI've already been a bit naive with the price of things to do with the build (the Steel cost me a grand !) , and a new boiler wasn't a factor when we did the costings...
