I've read that the switch should be 0v if I introduced L to it think it would pop the PCB.
I had to scratch my head about the power side of things and understand what you mean about the other connectors and connecting to the J4.
Your help is appreciated!
I'm heading to bed now but will...
Thanks a lot for that information and suggestion. I've had a play with a wiring diagram and think its correct. Could you cast your eye over it to make sure i've got it correct.

Hi
My parents recently moved into a static caravan that they are living in for 11 months of the year. They have a Morco FEB-24E boiler which they use for their heating and hot water. The boiler works brilliantly except it is very limited in its controls. It has a mechanical clock timer with...
The orange.amber light I referred to was because I had not connected up the DHW thermisttor as I was trying to see where the pins were to help get a multimeter in.
I tried disconnecting the CH thermistor when off or on and it produces the same kind of results that it is doing when locking...
Hi
We have a troublesome Vokera Compact Se 28. It recently about 1 month ago have a new ignition board that connects to the PCB. Up until today it worked fine. I put the heating on this morning and it fired up from cold and heated the radiators for about 10 minutes before then locking out...
Well tried that and still nothing, it still wont light.
I have spoken to an engineer who is coming out tommorrow adn he also thinks it could either the PCB, ignition board (which goes onto the PCB) or the gas valve.
I had a Vokera which did this and I found it to be the DHW thermistor. It wasn't sending a true reading to the PCB and the water would constantly heat up and up until the safety thermistor cut in and killed the heating. The water would cool again and then the boiler would fire up etc and do this...
What I meant by that was if it's something like a thermistor that needs replacing and we are going to be charged a fortune for a call out and then the part etc then I would change it myself. I'm sure you've seen the BBC house of horrors where you get cowboys in charging a fortune for hours and...
I've been told it may be one of two things. A PCB or a Gas valve that's gone. Obviously I wont be touching the gas side of things but is there a way of testing to try and rule one or both of these out.
Thanks
The red light came on, on our Vokera boiler yesterday. When i try to reset it as it says in the manual, nothing is happening. Just before it ignites it locks out again & won't fire up. We have no hot water or central heating at the moment. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem...
