Hi

I would like to boiler to dissipate a bit more heat around the system as it only drops 5c on the current over run.
i would like a few more minutes.

now with the new settings and without any...
Had a local heating engineer over yesterday and the balancing was fine.
the problem was the stat in the hall was being satisfied far earlier than the other rooms in the house.
it's a honeywell stat and he went into the config and adjusted the temp read out so that it reads a 1.5 degrees lower...

Made a offer on a house this afternoon after a few viewings.
The boiler installed is in the adjoining garage area and is a floor standing unit made by Hoval Ultragas. The unit was installed 2 yr ago.
Never heard of Hoval? Are the good? What is serviceability like ?
Thanks - I only have a 5 core into the boiler
X1 = Live,N,E & switch live in RT.
X14 = Pump live only - do I need to jump across my N+E from X1 into X14?
Do I need to remove the jump lead on the 24v side?
As a sparks have been asked to help a friend wire his new boiler.
I'm used to valiants but they seem to have changed the PCB on the newer boiler.

On the boiler I only have control of one temp knob which does both heating and hot water. I have just set it to 67c and the water thermostat to 55c. I tend to leave it on the constant setting so I alway have hot water.

I have a Vaillant 418 heat only boiler and the Vaillant group service engineer who does the yearly service says best to leave at 60c on the rotary dial.
The hot water thermostat is also set to 60c so I get a lot of short cycling on the boiler.
What is the best boiler temp?
Shall I increase...

Dear All
I'm thinking about changing my windows in my house x 17.
The current units are from the original build in 1998 and look very tired.
The windows seem to be set quite a way into the reveal and i'm unsure how they have fixed the frames into the brick or block.
Also there seems to be...
