PRIMATIC NIGHTMARE!

On a primatic pumped central heating system, does anyone know what line the pump should be fitted return or supply,I've uploaded a picture below, the 15mm pipe branches off from the 22mm and then feeds off to the first rad in line, the arrow on the pump definitely shows right to left which is away from the first radiator in line, could this be with when the pump starts all the radiators upstairs fill with air? I'm tempted to turn pump around didn't know what you all thought,BG changed pump originally and heating hasn't work properly since

I've downloaded a diagram and this clearly shows pumping to the radiators

i'd try turning the pump speed down first. refill the system and test it. if that doesnt work, turn the pump round.
also,is that a picture of the new pump? is it a standard efficiency one?

Is your boiler to the right of the pump in your picture?

If so then the pump is in the return but possibly pumping in the wrong direction.

With heating on which pipe gets hottest?

Just because you found a piping diagram on the internet does not mean that yours is like that.

Looking at that picture the pump is pumping the same way as it was before. It looks like they have just changed the head to a Grunfos Alpha . What speed is it set at? What does the digital display say ? Can you post a better picture?
Also, Why is the primatic cylinder not covered . Primatics are still availble from Gledhill ,BG's main cylinder supplier.

The boiler is to the left of the picture, the 22mm pipe is very hot when heating is on.the whole pump was changed by BG about 6 months ago , the engineer who called recently changed just the front body, it say 32 -36 on the digital display when pumping and he set it to pump setting 3

By the way if you are opening bleeds whilst pump is on you wont get air or water out it will prob be sucking air in . anti gravity valve is the first thing that need to be ruled out it will be on the heating flow from the boiler is about 2 1/2 inches long and brass

I've bled system up fine without pump on got all rads full of water,as soon as the pump actuated for 10 mins the I can get no water or air from roads, just like they're empty
