    I'm thinking of putting an RJ45 internet wallplate, two double plug sockets, and a phono outlet all next to each other in my room so that my computer is all wired up. This is exactly how I want it to be: I'm gonna keep the cables separate. ie, the mains cables for the plug sockets...

    Where can I buy a loft Fire Escape window?

    Apart from Velux? The window has to have an opening of at least 0.33 square/metres. And the height or the width shouldn't be less than 450mm. Wicks do 2 loft windows, but one of them is too small and the other one is too big. I want it to be as cheap as possible.... (cheap in price...

    Broken bricks for hardcore under slabs....

    Everyone says that you can use broken bricks for the hardcore underneath slabs, and then put sharp sand over it followed by the slabs. Do the bricks have to be 'broken'? I've got a load of whole bricks (cuz we knocked out a few fireplaces). Can I just lay them whole without breaking them...

    What junction box to use with armoured cable?

    This is where the armoured cable terminated, and then goes into normal 2.5mm T&E cable. The actual juntion will be indoors, do can I use a normal 30amp junction box or does it have to be one or those big expensive weatherproof junction boxes (that cost at least £5)?

    Does anyone in here us a Gorilla Tub? I was gonna buy my plasterer one but he said that they're crap......... which I don't understand. They seem alright and durable....... and like it says you can kick it to get all your dry mix out which is useful.

    Door keeps closing

    I've fitted several (internal) doors and when you open the door half way some of them stay put......... but others keep closing. How do I stop that? Its obviously something to do with the way you adjust the hinges........ but how do I adjust them? How should they be?

    Alternative to cable clips...

    I'm trying to run my coaxial cables along the side of my house, and I'm using cable clips (like the ones shown in pic) but they're doing my head in! They won't nail into the wall. The nail keeps bending and they're just too fidgity. Is there anything else I can use?

    Varnishing skirting boards

    I fixed all the skirting in my house with screws/wallplugs and I covered the screw holes with natural woodfiller. When I varnished the skirting then the holes that I put the wood filler in are REALLY visable. What can I do?

    Wall tiles under or around sink/toilet?

    This is my first post. What an excellent site! I'm just about to do my bathroom. Should I tile the walls first, then fit the sink and toilet on the tiles......... or should I fit the sink and toilet first and then tile around the them? Whats the best way to do it? Thanks.
