    Weed barrier and gravel

Hello I have gravel in my garden over a weed barrier. It must have been put down a good few years ago and heaps of weeds are coming through. I want to put different colour gravel down but really not up for digging the old stuff up. Can I rip out the weeds, put down a new weed barrier on top...

    Decking and K Rend

That sounds a bit more like it, if you're using base coat do you wait 2 weeks? I read somewhere people have primed then just 2 top coats on same day. Thanks again for taking time to reply

    Decking and K Rend

Thanks for reply. The K Rend is going over pebbledash. The technical advisor said prime it, base coat, wait two weeks prime and top coat. Wait another month before drilling into it. Do I really have to wait that long? Might just go for sand cement render. Be a lot cheaper as well Thanks again.

    Decking and K Rend

Hello I'm planing on decking my garden and rendering my garage with K Rend. I was wondering after I've done the rendering I'll be attaching a ledger board to garage wall, will the render crack drilling through it? Or could I build the deck first then render down to the ledger board...

    Worktop Tile

Thanks for all the advice,I was going to use 18mm MR MDF but would decent ply work? It would just be for the tile to sit on? The kitchen worktop offcut idea is definitely a lot easier and what I would normally do but I'm looking for quite a specific grey colour that the tile would have been...

Hello everyone, I'm going to be fixing up my garden soon and plan on using those exterior slate tiles. To save a heap of digging is it ok to build a plywood subfloor and lay these tiles directly onto that? Are there any issues with drainage or anything to consider? Any help would be much...

    Spraying Kitchen Units

Thanks for replying, I'm getting new black gloss doors and it would look a lot better if the carcasses were black as well with the layout of the kitchen and it would be a nightmare dismantling it to put new matching side panels on. I was just going to spray them in place with heaps of...

    Bthroom Cabinet

Hello everyone, I will be building a bathroom vanity unit soon and I am unsure which material to use. It will probably take a quite a few splashes and spills etc and not sure if MR MDF will be suitable? Even with several coats of paint I think it will still swell up. I was also thinking of...
