My neighbour has had the roof replaced. The builder has not sealed up the edges of the new roof where it joins mine. Is this normal ??? Or should it be sealed to prevent rain blowing in.

It should dry nice and white... Just think how difficult it would be putting on a second coat if was the same colour!!

I am the holder of a Queensland "tradesman Radio" ticket, enabling me to work on mains powered equipment. HOWEVER there is an addition on the back of the ticket that basicly says I CANNOT change a mains plug !! Not so important really as all the sockets in Oz are the same and all kit is sold...

After replacing the brushes on my boche 3030 the machine now makes a sort of squeaking noise especially when on its slow tumble just after setting it away. I have tightened the belt and the noise stopped ... however I need to know how much movement there should be when its right.At the moment...

The commutator looks absolutly fine, no uneveness or roughness. When running there is no more than normal contact sparking either. I reckon its just the dubious quality of the cheap brushes. I think I'll get a proper set and see how long they last. My missus is after a new machine so might just...

A few months ago I replaced the brushes in my Bosch 3030 with some cheapies from Fleabay. They are now in need of replacement again.. Should I bite the bullet and fit genuine replacements for £30.00 or fit another 10 £3.00 sets over the next few years???
