Why do you think the increased population raises carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere? Do you mean because humans breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide?
It is massively hypocritical. And it also distracts from the much more important discussion to be had about the science.
Lots of people still claim global warming is all a con, but sometimes go quiet when asked to go into specifics. A couple of days ago you and I were having a decent...
Is it possible that what she did could be a common assault or a Public Order offence e.g. if the cyclist thought she was going to be pushed off her bike.
The letter referred to was written in 1993 by SEPP, and was signed by a very small number of meteorologists, 50 out of more than 10,000 in the American Meteorological Society (AMS). There's an article here about these claims...
That seems to be a letter from a random GP, more than twenty five years ago! Things have moved on quite a bit. Very few scientists still try to deny that warming is happening. Now it's more about trying to think of reasons not to deal with it. I've heard it called climate change deflection...
It seems very simple to me. Human activity has increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by about fifty percent. Therefore it is trapping more heat. Therefore the planet has warmed.
Do you agree with physicists, who have known for almost two hundred years, that certain gases absorbs infra red radiation and this causes them to heat up?
